 When Skaalen Nursing Home opened in January of 1900, it became home to forty men and women who spent their final years in an environment of Christian care and comfort. Today, Skaalen Retirement Services is one of Dane County's largest long-term and rehabilitative care facilities, and we provide a continuum of nursing care, restorative therapy and housing options to more than 800 older adults and their families every year.
Located on a 110-acre campus in Stoughton, Wisconsin, Skaalen offers Christian-based care through the support of staff, member congregations and on-site pastoral care staff. Sponsored by 33 Lutheran and one Methodist church, we're governed by elected representatives from these congregations.
