Arthritis Rehabilitation Program
The Arthritis Rehabilitation Program is a class that meets on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings for six to eight weeks. It uses a comination of physical and occupational therapy, educational lecture sessions, and warm water pool classes to teach people how to exercise safely and live well with arthritis.

The Arthritis Rehabilitation Program uses warm water to help relax tight, painful muscles and take pressure off painful joints. Immersion in water can also help balance reactions and circulation.

Arthritis Rehabilitation Program cannot cure arthritis, but it can:

  • Show you techniques to minimize pain
  • Teach you to know when you have exercised too much or too little
  • Help you decide what activities are best for your particular arthritis
  • Demonstrate how to use good body mechanics and protect your joints

These classes my be covered by insurance, including Medicare part B and private insurances. A doctor’s referral is required, along with a diagnosis of one of the following: osteoarthritis, degenerative joint disease, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, or fibromyalgia.

Physical and Occupational therapy evaluations will be held the week prior to the first class. You can learn more about living with Arthritis at:
