What is the Warm Water Therapy Pool Like?
- 16 feet long by 10 feet wide
- 89° - 92° water temperature at all times
- Stair entry or mechanical lift entry
- 3 feet 6 inches deep gradually grades to 4 feet 9 inches deep
- Hand rails surround sides
- Sitting bench on shallow end
- Badu water jet on deeper end available to provide resistance during therapy
- Located adjacent to the Therapy, Wellness gym on the northeast wing of Skaalen Home
What are Some Benefits of Warm Water Therapy?
- Warm water helps relax tight, painful muscles and can help increase range of motion of joints
- Buoyancy of water helps take pressure off painful joints and post-surgical clients who have weight bearing restrictions
- Immersion in water can help improve balance reactions
- Warm water and immersion in water can help improve circulation
- Water provides mild resistance for strength training
Water Movement Class: An assisted water session with low intensity exercises. Each six-week session is $72.00 for the general public and $50.00 for Wellness Center Pool Members.
Community Pool Classes: 6 week courses from 7 - 8 am and 4 - 5 pm. Maximum of 5 people per class. $48 for 6 weeks. Therapists teach class for toning, strengthening, stretching and cardio workout. Please call 873-5651, extension 293 for more information.

Open: $5.00/day; $45.00 for a 10 visit punch card; $20.00 unlimited user with Wellness Center membership. Fees are paid at Skaalen's main reception desk.
