Medical Rehabilitation Receptionist

Full time position with benefits to manage the Reception desk within our Therapy Department. This person will also be responsible for assisting clients with the Wellness Center and outpatient services, contacting insurance companies, scheduling appointments, and assisting the Business office with billing functions. Must have one year of clerical experience, prefer someone with an associate degree in business, possess strong organizational skills, ability to multi task and experience in Excel and Word.

Skaalen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton provides a complete continuum of care. We are a skilled nursing facility serving 91 residents as well as an assisted living facility serving 50 residents. Currently we have part time and full time positons available on all shifts. Full Time ELCA Lutheran Chaplain

Skaalen Retirement Services, located just outside of Madison, Wisconsin, is a Lutheran retirement community that has been providing care and support of seniors in need since 1900. We deliver housing and services daily to over 650 seniors on two campuses, located in Stoughton and McFarland, Wisconsin. Our levels of care consist of skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care assisted living and independent living communities. The organization is governed by 30 area Corporate Churches that elect the Board of Directors annually. Skaalen Retirement Services is seeking a full-time Chaplain to direct our campus spiritual services. The successful candidate will need to be ordained in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and have achieved Ecclesiastical Specialized Care Endorsement status from the ELCA. Also required is Board Certified Chaplain status from the Association of Professional Chaplains. Previous work experience with the elderly and in parish ministry is essential. The Chaplain will provide spiritual care to patients, families and associates reaching across religious and cultural boundaries. Provides ethical and spiritual guidance to patients and families. Promotes a spiritual environment within the campus by leading worship services, providing prayer services, conducting Bible study, leading religious discussions, providing religious education and hymn sings with residents and patients in all levels of care. The Chaplain is to accomplish the above ministry goals by visiting patients in assigned areas, providing follow-up ministry as needed, completing assigned documentation and by keeping required professional expertise and skills updated. The Chaplain will act as a liaison with area pastors and work to develop partnerships with Corporate Congregations.




RN Unit Manager

The RN Unit Manager will manage and coordinate total nursing care of residents on his/her assigned unit. This is a full time position with day shift hours with alternating weekends and holidays. Some of the duties include: * Completing assessments, MDS forms, and care plans • Routine nursing duties such as medication administration and completion of treatments • Chart audits • Admissions • Discharge planning • Perform ongoing quality assurance activities to assure compliance with State and Federal regulations • Oversee, teach and evaluate the Nursing staff and more Must have a current State of WI license, prefer someone with prior supervisory experience, and MDS experience is a must.




Transportation Driver-Temp Position

Skaalen Retirement Services in Stoughton is a full-spectrum retirement community providing residents a complete continuum of care. Our campus has independent living condos and apartments, as well as assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing. We are currently hiring a Temporary Transportation Driver. This position is a 40 hour a week position that would last 3-4 months Position Details: *Perform light maintenance checks on all vehicles *Transport residents to and from scheduled appointments and as needed. *Transport residents discharging from the hospital and admitting to Skaalen *Schedule and maintain accurate records of all appointments *Complete appropriate paperwork for billing for transportation services Position Requirements: *Valid WI Driver’s License *Must be at least 18 years of age *CPR Certified Apply online at www.skaalen.com

Maintenance Technician

Skaalen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton provides a complete continuum of care. We are a skilled nursing facility serving 91 residents as well as an assisted living facility serving 50 residents. We currently have an opening for a Full-Time Maintenance Technician This 40 hour a week position will earn $15.00-$17.50 based on experience. The Maintenance Technician role offers a variety of duties with the upkeep of our condominiums, both interior and exterior Monday –Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm and includes occasional on-call weekends. As an Aide Angel, you will be responsible for assisting with nursing staff duties such as making beds, passing ice water, distributing mail, transporting residents throughout the building, spending time with residents and more! Nutrition Service: Cook or Server

At Skaalen we take pride in the care we provide to our residents. Food is an important part of our residents' days, and many look forward to dining. Skaalen has recently updated their dining processes and we hope to continue to make our dining experience more resident-centered. We want you could be a part of this exciting change! Duties include: Light preparation of food Assist residents with menu decisions Serving food according to diet cards, posted menus, and other instructions Cleans, washes, and/or sanitizes all dishes, carts, utensils, equipment, walls, counter tops, and floors after each meal or as required Follows safe and proper handling of food and equipment while maintaining procedures for infection control Follows HIPAA procedures Assist residents with food as needed (e.g. cutting up meat, opening milk cartons, etc.) Delivers and collects food carts from units Heat, dish, and serve food in a neat and organized manner to ensure the meal is appetizing Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment that follows regulations set by CMS and the most recent Food Code Ensure food is at proper temperatures prior to serving Server positions are benefit eligible at 20 hours or more.This position requires every other weekend and every other holiday. Weekender positions available. Weekender position entails working at least 2 weekends per month and every other holiday.
